There are moments of magic everywhere

I often find myself gently observing the details around me. I watch the way my children's eyes light up at something that makes them smile. Or how their toes wriggle when they play together on the floor. I watch the tiny moments when my daughter lays her head on my husband's chest and everything is quiet. I watch the golden glimmers atop the peaks of waves as the sun slowly lowers in the sky.

These moments - they are magic. They are the little in-between moments of awe.

When we pay attention to them it can fill us with an incredible sense of gratitude and happiness. We discover that it's all that really matters. And that all the other 'stuff' is insignificant in comparison.

Learning to pay attention and notice these moments can help clear our minds. It can seperate us from our internal problems, gently reminding us that we are part of something greater than ourselves.

And it's rather simple really - to notice these moments of magic.

We only need to be still, watch and listen. And observe life happening around us.

So try it, right now. Stop what you are doing. Notice what you see, what moves gently, what sounds you hear. Remind yourself that you are a spectator. That we all are. That life is actually rather simple and beautiful in its purest form.

And practise this often. I can say from experience that it can truly light up your life.
