Weekend treat

I can’t believe it is Friday already. This week seems to have escaped me. I couldn’t end the week without a post though so here is a quick and easy treat to enjoy this weekend. Pecan, oat + choc chip cookies. Their centre is gooey but they have a slightly crunchy outside. I’m feeling a bit guilty since I just devoured two : /

I’m excited to be heading oversees in 2 weeks from today! We are meeting my parents in Athens for a few days and then flying to Rome and spending a few more days on the Amalfi Coast. I have been wanting to visit the Amalfi Coast for many years now and excited to finally have the chance. My parents haven’t been overseas for about 30 years so it’s a pretty big event for them. It will also be mum’s birthday the day we meet. I’m looking forward to spending some time with them after being away from home for 7 months. There will no doubt be plenty of photos to share with you on my return!

I hope you have a chance to cook or bake something delicious this weekend. Have a nice weekend everyone :)

How exciting!! Have a wonderful time in Europe, Chantelle! If you go to Minori on the Amalfi Coast, DO NOT miss their amazing Sfogliatelle al limone. They are to die for!

Have a wonderful trip. I too am heading to Tuscany again this June, be sure to check out Le Cinque Terre-jewel of Tuscany.

  3. Greece + Amalfi coast, ooouhhh I am SO jealous! I am sure you’ll have a lot of fun and see a lot of great landscapes (oh boy, I really need to travel these days *aaaaaaahhh*) and oh, happy birthday to your mother too! I am looking forward to see your great pictures! And, well, it would be nice to finally meet you one day, here in Montreal :) (in the meantime I see that you are on Pinterest, so I am following your pins right now!)

Perfect timing! Earth Day and rain! How appropriate to turn to the kitchen to create wholesome (well, sort of…) treats.

A pleasure reading you and thanks for the weekend bonus.

Is there a way in which to print this cookie recipe or perhaps you could send it to me in an e-mail?

    Looks delicious!

    Thanks for posting!
